MERU HIKE OVERVIEW
This is a private hike up Mount Meru with the shortest time possible. The total number of days for the package is 5 days (3 days hiking, 1 day of arrival and 1 day for departure).
The arrival and departure days include airport transfers and a nighta at a lodge. If you are already in the country then the arrival and departure days should be disregarded.
We’ve also provided two sets of prices for the full package: 5 full days or just the 3 days of climbing.
Mount Meru is the second highest peak in Tanzania and 5th highest mountain in Africa. You can climb it alone or as a warm-up climb in preparation for Kilimanjaro.
The technical requirements for climbing Meru are more extensive than climbing Kilimanjaro. Accommodation during the climb is in rustic wooden huts. Meru is not favorable to climb during the rainy seasons of April and May.
Kodigoz Safaris professional mountain guides are dedicated to you reaching the top of Mount Meru, hence fulfilling your goal/dream. They will adjust the pace accordingly and monitor your health periodically throughout the hike.
You will be accompanied by your guide, a cook, and a team of porters (a crew of 8 people for 2 climbers). The more climbers, the more crew there will be.

Arrival Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha/Moshi
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or point of entry and be transferred to your accommodation followed by a pre-climb briefing and equipment check.
