Day 1,2 Dar es laam to Kigoma Town
After you land in Julius Nyerere International Airpot in Da es laam, you will you will Spend your evening at Dar es Laam ready for another Flight to kigoma on the next day, On your first day you will be accommodated at Hotel FQ.
On the Sec, we will pick you up at the Kigoma Airport, and transfer you to your hotel. During the day you have the option of a sightseeing tour in Kigoma and Ujiji town or a relaxing excursion to Tanganyika Lake. On day twoyou will be accommodated at Kigoma Hiltop Hotel.
Day 3, Kigoma Town – Gombe National Park
After breakfast on day 3, we will take a boat to Gombe Stream National Park sailing along Lake Tanganyika. During the day we will undertake our first chimpanzee tracking expedition. Gombe Stream National Park, located on the western border of Tanzania and Congo on the wild shores of Lake Tanganyika is an untamed place with lush forests and Lake Tanganyika's pristine beaches. Hiking in the forests and swimming on the lake are popular activities here in addition to the star activity, chimpanzee tracking. Gombe owes much of its fame to Jane Goodall, the resident primatologist who spent many years in this forest studying the behavior of the endangered chimpanzees. Besides chimpanzee, many other species of primates live here, like vervet, colobus monkeys and baboons, in addition to a wide variety of birdlife, like the majestic African fish eagle. On the third day you will be accommodated at Mbali Mbali Lodge.
Day 4, Chimpanzee Tracking and Kakombe Waterfalls
After breakfast, we will explore the forest in search of Chimpanzees. We will head into the forest and recreate the sounds of the primates and the songs of the birds while we follow their trail. Then we will climb up to Kakombe waterfalls and enjoy a beautiful view of the park. On the fourth day you will be accommodated at Mbali Mbali Lodge.
Day 5, Gombe National Park Kigoma
Enjoy your last day at the park by visiting Jane Goodall’s house and swimming or relaxing in Lake Tanganyika. Then we will travel by boat and vehicle back to Kigoma for your departure back to Da es laam where you will connect to your flight back home or extended Safari to visit to Zanzibar or other Places in Tanzania.
