Day 1, Arusha –Mkomanzi National Park
Mkomanzi National Park is a much lesser known park with much fewer visitors. This allows you to feel more integrated into the environment. This semi-arid Savannah dotted by ancient baobab, acacias and isolated rocky hills is home to many diverse animals. Home to black rhinos, wild dogs, giraffes, kudus, elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs and more than 450 bird species. Mkomanzi National Park shares a border with Kenya’s vast Tsavo National Park, making common ground for migratory herds during the wet season. On the first day you will be accommodated at Mambo View Point Eco Lodge.
Day 3, Bumbuli - Amani
On day 3 we will find traditional villages with amazing views and meet the cheerful inhabitants.
We will visit Amani Nature Reserve which is inhabited by monkeys, birds, chameleons and other endemic animals and plants. Inside the reserve we will enjoy the beautiful botanic garden full of plants and flowers and enjoy the butterfly farming tour. On the third day you will be accommodated at Emau Hill.
Day 4, Amani - Pangani
On Day 4 we will be crossing the Muheza region heading to Pangani, a small town of fishermen and artisans located at the mouth of the Pangani River. Pangani has historical buildings of its colonial past and beautiful beaches with coconut trees, excellent for snorkeling. On the fourth day you will be accommodated at Pangani Cliffs Lodge.
Day 6, Pangani – Saadani 52km
We will ride by bike on quiet trails to Saadani National Park, Tanzania’s unique park on the beach border where you can enjoy the paradisal beaches and watch wildlife at the same time. You will have the chance to choose between a game drive safari, guide walk safari or boat trip on the warm river. Later in the evening we will enjoy dinner and overnight in Saadani. On the sixth day you will be accommodated at Misemi Retreat Lodge.
Day 7, Saadani - Bagamoyo
On day 7 we will ride or bike on quiet trails towards Bagamoyo town, a world heritage site by Unesco which was the capital of East Germany and a commercial port for ivory and slaves.
Bagamoyo is a quiet city with some German colonial buildings still standing. Here we also offer you the opportunity to experience a crocodile farm tour, a tour of the stone Village of Bagamoyo, and snorkeling to discover beautiful coral. Dinner and overnight will be spent in Bagamoyo. On the seventh day you will be accommodated at Firefly Bagamoyo.
Day 8, Bagamoyo – Dar Es Salaam 55km
On the last day we will ride to Dar es Salaam, bordering the Indian Ocean Coast. Later, you will return home or continue your Safari to Zanzibar or other Places in Tanzania.
