Your Safari leaves at 8:00 AM from the pick up point in Arusha and we will have a 45-60 minute drive to the park gates.
Arusha National Park, though small in size, features a large variety of animals including giraffes, baboons, waterbucks, zebra, elephants, cape buffalo, black and white colobus monkeys, turacos, trogons, bushbacks, hippo, blue monkeys and if you're lucky you'll see leopards or lions.
The park has a diverse landscape, having open savannah, acacia scrubland, rainforest and also alpine conditions on the upper slopes of Mount Meru.
For bird enthusiasts, Arusha National Park is a place to visit as it has an incredible variety of birds with over 450 species recorded. The game viewing tracks that winds around the Momela Lake is a great way to get close to and watch lesser and greater flamingo.
The park is also dominated by Mount Meru on one end and the Ngurudoto Crater, sometimes known as little ngorongoro, with its swamp filled floor on the other end.
In Arusha National Park you can also go cannoeing, do walking safaris, horseback ride as well as mountain biking at an extra cost.
